Tea one of the most preferred beverages consumed in India, South eastern Asia and other European countries originated in Southwest China, where it was used as a medicinal drink. It was popularized as a recreational drink during the Chinese Tang dynasty, and was spread to other South Eastern Asian countries and European countries subsequently.
Traditionally, tea is been produced by steeping the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, which is grown in hilly regions around the world. We get 4 different types of tea from its leaves - white, green, oolong, and black - depending on how oxidized the leaves are.

1. White Tea
This tea variety is mainly produced in China, is the least-processed of all the traditional tea types, and therefore, is the most nutritious variety of tea.

3. Oolong Tea
These teas takes a long time to produce as repeated rolling and oxidizing over gentle flames of the leaves are done to take out the flavour of these tea leaves.
Important health benefit: This tea also helps in reducing weight, but the most important benefit is its ability to cut down on blood cholesterol level.
4. Black Tea
The most common tea used worldwide, they are made by completely oxidizing white tea leaves under heat. It has the strongest flavour among all the different varieties of tea and is the only tea which can be drunk with milk and sugar.
Important health benefit: Black tea has antioxidants present in it, especially quercetin, this helps to reduce inflammation in the body and get rid of harmful free radicals that speed up the aging process and cause organ damage. They help in reducing aging.
